Dr. Samir Hamad
The Dean of the Scientific Research Center at Soran University marshals efforts towards the establishment of programs in research through pooling academics from different universities on crucial fields of common interest. The SRC will serve as a multidisciplinary catalytic hub for promoting collaboration, postgraduate research support, and solution provision related to challenges of climate change, health crises, energy sustainability, and green nanotechnology. Thus, it will be seen as a source of robust scientific advice for governments, organization, and communities in their search for effective solutions.

Dr. Aryanfar Haji Sherwani
Dr. Aryanfar Haji Sherwani is a specialist in sustainable construction materials, focusing on self-compacted and geopolymer concrete using recycled aggregates and industrial byproducts. He completed his PhD at Soran University, Split Site-Based program, in collaboration with FH Erfurt (Germany) and the University of Sheffield (UK). His research emphasizes the fresh, mechanical, and durability properties of innovative concretes, promoting eco-friendly alternatives to traditional materials in the construction industry.

Dr. Rahel Othman Hamadsedik
Studying the relationships between rivers and human activity, which is now crucial due to the significance of rivers morphology. The purpose is to identify historical human impacts on the river’s morphology. Furthermore, to identify erosion and sedimentation in these areas and study land use land cover changes. Utilizing and analyzing ArcGIS 10.8 software and time series of satellite images.

Omar Ahmed Mahmoud
1- Projects I plan to do: Follow up on archaeological research and excavation work at the Erbil Citadel site, as we have completed two field seasons of research with the French Institute for the Near East - Erbil Branch. 2- We plan to publish the results of this research in a specialized international journal during this academic year. 3- We will participate in the International Conference on Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology, which will be held in the first half of 2025 in Lyon, France. 4- Follow up on research and studies of archaeological finds from the "Qsr Shamamok" site - Erbil. It is the archaeological site where I have been working for many years with the French mission - Sorbonne University - Paris. And work on publishing the results of this research in an international journal. 5- We plan to conduct field research in the vicinity of the Soran area in coordination with the Directorate of Antiquities in Soran.

Renjbar Muksy Muhammedsharif holds a Bachelor’s degree in biology with a specialization in Microbiology and a Master’s degree in Geomicrobiology, focusing on microbe-mineral interactions. Currently serving as an Assistant Lecturer at the Scientific Research Center of Soran University, Mr. Muhammedsharif conducts research on the environmental impact of landfills, the development of antibacterial nanoparticles, and the synthesis of nanoparticles using fungi.
