Prof. Dr. Samir Mustafa Hamed, Dean of the Scientific Research Center Faculty at the University of Soran, has published a new research article entitled:

“Effects of Dip-Coating Cycles on Green Synthesis of CuO Thin Film: Structural, Optical, and Electrical Properties”

The study was published in the high-impact international journal Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics (Impact Factor: 2.8).

The main focus of the research is the fabrication of copper oxide (CuO) nanostructured thin films using an environmentally friendly “green” synthesis method through the use of plant extract (Maddenous plant water extract).

The scientific results demonstrated that increasing the number of dip-coating cycles significantly improves the physical and electrical properties of the thin film and reduces the energy band gap. This enhancement makes the material efficient and suitable for applications in solar cells, particularly as a light-absorbing and charge-transport layer.
