In continuation of the ongoing research activities at the Scientific Research Center, a new study by our dedicated researcher, Sarbast Mamand, conducted during his master’s program, has been published in the high-impact international journal ChemistrySelect (Impact Factor: 2, Site Score: 3). The research was carried out in collaboration with Dr. Hussein Khojasteh and Prof. Dr. Samir Mustafa under the title “High-Performance Graphite/MgO Nanocomposites for Energy-Efficient Electrothermal Heating: Synthesis and Characterization” This study contributes significantly to the development of graphite-based electrothermal heaters by enhancing their performance using advanced nanotechnology — specifically magnesium oxide (MgO) nanostructures in forms like nanoparticles, nanosheets, and nanocomposites. The findings suggest that these novel materials offer faster heating with lower energy consumption, thanks to their efficient heat retention. They show promising applications in various fields such as: • Snow melting systems • Medical thermal bandages • Eco-friendly natural heating solutions Compared to conventional heaters, these nanocomposite-based heaters are more efficient, flexible, and require significantly less energy to operate.
