new research study published in the reputable scientific journal Comparative Clinical Pathology by Springer Nature has revealed that blood levels of irisin are significantly higher in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) compared to healthy individuals.

This study, conducted by a scientific team consisting of researchers Parwin Jalal Jalil, Dr. Bushra Hussein Shanawa, and Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, also found a direct correlation between elevated irisin levels and disruptions in metabolic activities such as liver dysfunction and alterations in blood lipid profiles.

The findings of this research, which was published in a well-known Q3-ranked journal with a high CiteScore, may pave the way for developing more effective treatments for PCOS.
