The Center for Genocide, Gender, and Social Research at the Scientific Research Center, Soran University, is offering a philosophy course titled βThe History of Philosophy β German Idealism and Its Critiques.β Led by Dr. Kamaran Aziz Abdullah, the course is open to faculty members, students, and anyone interested in philosophical inquiry and critical thinking. Beginning on February 26, 2025, it will take place every Wednesday for eight weeks.
The course will explore the development of German Idealism, focusing on Kant, Fichte, Schelling, and Hegel, as well as the critiques that followed, particularly from Schopenhauer, Marx, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche. Participants will engage in discussions about the historical significance of this movement, its core philosophical concepts, and its enduring influence on modern thought.
